Just some clarifications I never meant these pilots are from El Al VA specifically Also I did not mean that they leave the cockpit while already in contact with ATC but they leave the cockpit after they leave LLLL FIR My friends I do not believe the solution is reporting the pilots for pusnishment ! I just hope they read this post and they understand, it is not about vatsim rules that I reported here, it is about people doing their hobby all together without some neglecting others I know that you cannot be "in the cockpit" on longhaul flights all the time where there is no ATC. At least in these cases what I recommend is just check every few minutes for ATC ahead of your route. Friendly regards

I have a problem I often provide ATC in VATSIM as Eurocontrol South or Athens Control LGGG_CTR over Greece I find that in relation to other callsigns MANY El Al flights are non responsive on first contact and almost always out of cockpit When I say many I mean that the % of the flights that will enter my Controlled Airspace their pilots are out of cockpit This is A LOT of flights This is rather disappointing, to log in and offer your ATC services and find out that pilots leave their B744 or whatever flying pilotless on autopilot for hours and will not respond to ATC contacts Most of the times we call a Supervisor to disconnect the flight but this is not a nice thing to do but we ATCO's find it unfair to offer our resources and pilots to fly disregarding us when our primary goal is to serve them What I do not understand is WHY these pilots cannot do the most simple thing, open up ServInfo, VROUTE whatever and check ATC manned positions ahead so that they contact ATC BEFORE they enter Controlled Airspace Even if they don't, an occasional check on the flight simulator every 10 minutes will make them able to foresee the ATC ahead since our ranges are far outside our FIR borders The reason I write this message here is because in the last years I provide ATC, El Al flights are the worst in unattended cockpits I don't understand why this is an established habit in El Al, maybe these pilots flying towards Europe have not been used too much in seeing often ATC after LLLL FIR like in LCCC (Nicosia) FIR and thus leave the cockpit.
