Perhaps can remember still another few from you my Scenery conception of Hood River on fs.de. To the prehistory:

I was this morning with the car from Netanya to Tel Aviv on the way and was surprised after an overflight/flyover of a weeds annihilator, where come. DOV is being obvious to Sde, but that is partly even military a traffic airfield and...

Only today I noticed that in Herzlia a further airfield exists. Who would like to examine that times in the FS9, which will be surprised, lay like close with each other...

Anyhow I made smart on AVSIM and discovered myself thereby a long-known one:

Long-known however perhaps only under those, which moved virtually already once in the country, in which allegedly milk and honey flow (it hails here on case of each fewer lead than generally accepted). David provided among other things Scenerien of Eilat and Sde DOV (also very exact), belonged therefore beside Ido Rosenthal and Seev punt to the main designers of the virtual Erez (Israel).

David developed this Scenery as well as Nir Behar.

To the Scenerie generally:

Where does that lie at all?

One takes thus the Atlas, breaks the Near East open and looks for Israel. Herzlia is somewhat north of Tel Aviv, in addition, directly because of the Mediterranean. Further above in the north then the next larger city would be Netanya.

Still more exactly? The airport? Ok one: N32 10,8 E034 50,1, height over the sea: 121 ft (37 m). A Runway: 11/29 degrees and 3291 ft (1003 m) long.

Was built the airfield in the Second World War of the RAF. In the year 1948 the place served 101 Squadron (IAF) briefly as an air cousin, for exactly five months. Since then Herzlia (LLHZ) is a GA (general aviation airfield) for flight schools, air taxis and agrarian fliers (remembers, if you peel the next Jaffa orange...). And if times who hears with the pilot table reserved for regulars of Kfar Shemaryahu, then it concerns itself the same airport.

Equal one in front: Despite the considerable size of the Downloads (40 MT) it concerns here only an airfield plus an estimated surrounding field of 10 square kilometers. Markannte of landmarks such as hotels (Carmel, Daniel, Hasharon and Mandarin), Country club (of Ramat the Aviv) and the Amphitheater of Raanana are also included.

For Markus gibts still another Draufgabe: the Marina of Herzlia (one the probably safest world, glaub's me!).

Why thus the 40 MB's? I know David not personally, but if one the detail accuracy regarded comes one to the assumption, it were allowed myself around its master airfield to act here. Numerous cars, helicopter, weeds flier and boards hauchen the area of more lives, also at night, whereby in the material enterprise reliably there cannot be so much the matter: Nevertheless the military has the gesammten air space over and not as in Europe a civilian air traffic control. And one is to explain to those times, why one would like to fly at night...

No matter, in the FS9 there are these problems not and in such a way can one confidently a round flight to the close Tel Aviv dare (further Downloads is available over the on the left of).

Correctly to the validity the Scenery comes however only if one installs the Meshes for Israel and all Zusatzscenerien. Israel holiday-makers will come there at their expense, there gibt's enormously much and still to it with a friendly smile, which does not cost anything.

To the installation:

David supplies a detailed ReadMe to English and (for those, which can do it) on Hebrew. Two files, Herzlia and Herzlia PSM.2 must be shifted into the AddOnScenery file of the FS9. Activate both Scenerien over the FS9, whereby the Herzlia file must be more highly placed in the priority. Now only the FS9 start again and that already was it.

For people with weaker computers (aehaem!) there is still another Lightversion, which mentioned David, to merge but forgot into the package. With interest I mediate however gladly.

Which you expects?

Now, I sit down equal times in which fly-cash and Mach times a few Shots, then know it, what I mean. I did not make for Vergleichshots with default Scenery, sorry. Excused please the bad image quality, is not at the software, but because of my tractor...

Pro's and Con's:

Advantages:

- Freeware,

- 40 MT (like one it takes)

- details affectionately

- with many ZusatzAddOns co-ordinated

- simple installation

Disadvantages:

- because quite small area taken off, nothing for large Brummer

- 40 MT (like one it evenly takes)

- because an overflight/flyover is detailed in such a way with weaker computers a dia. show (yawn!)

- installation causes Englishkenntnisse, or evenly Hebrew...
