במסגרת ה-Build up לקראת השחרור, AoA הוציאו סרטון נוסף(שוב סרטון "התרשמות", הפעם מרמת מידול המערכות) שנותן מספר דוגמיות שמדגימות את רמת המידול הגבוהה של המערכות ב-737NGX והירידה לפרטים של PMDG בסימולציה של המערכות[משך הסרטון 32 דקות].

79.99$ כמו שאר המוצרים החדשים שלהם, אני לא רואה סיבה למה הם ישנו זאת.
ועוד איך יש סיבה למה שהם ישנו זאת ויש לה אפילו שם.

נקבת במחיר המקסימום של תוספים שלהם שזה המחיר של MD-11. בעוד שה J-41 שגם נכנס לקטגוריית שאר המוצרים החדשים שלהם וגם עליו עבדו לא מעט עולה רק $44.95 (אולי כדי להגדיל את האטרקטיביות שלו, ב-80$ מי היה מסתכל עליו?)

PMDG דיברו על מחיר שפוי. 80$ לתוסף אינו מחיר שפוי. סביר שהוא יהייה דומה יותר לזה של ה-747-400X(שעולה 54.99$). אני מעריך שבסופו של דבר המחיר יהייה באיזור ה-55-65$.

צריך לזכור שעם כל הכבוד ל-PMDG(ולשמחתינו) הם לא מונופול שיכול לקבוע מחיר כאוות נפשו ל-737NG. (ל-MD-11 אולי הם יכולים) יש לו תחרות חזקה מצד iFly שעולה 54.95$ במחיר קרוב יותר לזה של ה747-400X(ולא בכדי). הם לא יכולים לזרוק כל מחיר שהם רוצים, אם הם שואפים שגם אנשים כמו משה מזרחי ויעקב קראוס יקנו דוקא PMDG, ולא רק מיקי ליפ, רן פינקלס ועופר בן-פרץ. ונראה שחלק מהשוק הפוטנציאלי שלהם מצוייד כבר ב-737 לא רע, לכן מן הסתם יוצא שחלק מהשוק שאליו הם מכוונים הוא שוק של קוני 737 שני. הגיוני שזה יגולם במחיר.

סביר להניח שהמחיר יהייה קרוב יותר ל-55-65$ בכיוון המחיר פחות או יותר של ה- iFly737NG בתוספת פרמיית ריאליזם ומיתוג PMDG, או מחיר כמעט זהה. פשוט הגיון של שוק תחרותי. אלא אם בשל הביקוש ההיסטרי שהם בנו הם יחליטו להפציץ בשחרור ובהמשך להתיישר לפי מגמת השוק(מה שימתג אותם כחזירים).

אבל, תכל'ס מה זה חשוב? בעוד שבוע נדע במדוייק.

עם השם/מותג PMDG אני די בטוח שמאות אנשים שקנו בזמנו את המודל של IFLY לא יהססו לקנות גם את ה NGX ולכן זו לא ממש תחרות. בסוף כולם רוצים להיות AS REAL AS IT GETS ויודעים מי מספק את הסחורה הכי טוב. שורה תחתונה הם יכולים לנקוב בכל מחיר ובסוף יהיה מי שיקנה. תציץ בפורומים שלהם ותראה כמה אנשים נלהבים כבר כמה שנים פשוט לא יכולים לחכות. אז אמנם זה לא מונופול אבל זה גם לא ממש כוחות...

א. בדיון הזה ממש, יש 2 דוגמאות שסותרות את הטענה שלך ולא של מתפשרים גדולים על as real as it gets.

ב. אם כל מחיר ש-PMDG יזרקו יהייה לגיטימי(נניח 80$), אני לא רואה מאות שמשלמים 140$ על תוסף 737 מציאותי ככל שיהייה(140$=60$ על התוסף של iFly שכבר נקנה, בתוספת 80$ על זה של PMDG, כשבסופו של דבר רק אחד מהתוספים יהייה בשירות פעיל). אני, לפחות, לא הייתי מוציא 140$ על 737 ל-FSX. לכן אני מעריך ש-PMDG לא יתפראו במחיר והוא יהייה מחיר שוק(קרוב מלמעלה למה שמוכנים לשלם על iFly737NG-X).

נחייה ונראה מה יקרה בעוד שבוע.

יש מחירים לחבילות בפורום PMDG. מי שלא מוכן לשלם, שיעיין במחירי הספרות בעותק כרוך, שפורסמו לפני כמה חודשים.

אני רכשתי את PS1.3 ב-170 יורו וחושב שזו היתה עיסקה כדאית. אין עוד תוסף כזה (שנכתב ב-1995) לשוק ה-PC. כשארצה להחליפה, קיימים קונים במחיר זה לחבילה שאינה יותר בשוק.

4) Functionality Updates: One of the nice things that we have done with the PMDG 737NGX series of products is to take steps to plan ahead for functionality changes and product capability growth. This is not something we have historically done- and it has led to products hitting life cycle limits because they cannot be adapted with new functionality. With the PMDG 737NGX this changes! For example, we are looking at some interoperability functions that virtual airlines may want with the 777. We are also looking at things such as EFB functionality for the 777. If we elect to move these technologies forward with the 777, it is expected we can also move them backward to the PMDG 737NGX product line- this keeping the product fresh with new ideas and functions that you can gain with a simple service pack.

At PMDG we tend to be a bit cagey about the products we have in development.

We do have some long term projects that have been published as "under development" and these are as follows:

PMDG 737NGX: The lastest generation of our popular 737 product line. This product will include all four body types of the 737 NG series, an incredibly detailed virtual cockpit, wide screen 2D panels, advanced lighting and animation, a Heads Up Display, and lots of other goodies that we'll unveil as they are completed.

PMDG 777: This product is under very low rate development right now. We are currently coordinating some long lead items with Boeing, and collecting the industrial expertise required to build this aircraft properly. Our 737 development team will take over this project upon completion of the NGX, as the two airplanes have many software and system similarities that will allow for a very rapid wind-up to completion once the NGX has been released.

PMDG DHC-8: The initial product in the PMDG Dash-8 series will include the -200/300 series airplanes. This product is being developed by the same team that produced our PMDG BAe JS4100, and will be along the same quality level. This product is expected to fit into the release schedule someplace between the 737NGX and the 777.

As of now, we also have two products in development that we have not shared with you. Both will be unveiled when the time is right.

דבר אחד מאוד מאוד חשוב וקריטי שלא ראיתי בינתיים איזכור לעובדה שהם מידלו אותו הוא הכמות של הניירת שצריך לעשות בטיסה :-)

ואולי החיסרון שלה הוא מה שהופך את הטיסה בסימולטור לכייפית

אתמול נחתנו כ15 דקות מוקדם מהצפוי אז היו לי כמה דקות ספייר בקוקפיט אז החלטתי לצלם כמה תמונות לחברי החטיבה, אומנם זה לא הPMDG NGX אבל עדיין נחמד

אני אחד האחרונים שיכולים להעיר על זה, אבל באמת שהוא פשוט חופר... :D

מה רצינו? לראות את המטוס בפעולה? את כל המערכות עובדות? פה ושם כן משחקים עם נתון לא סטנדרטי ולראות איך המערכת מגיבה לזה? הבחור הנחמד הזה באמת יודע לא מעט על 737, ולא זיהיתי טעויות של ממש (מלבד ההמראה עצמה שהיתה מאוד סתמית ובלי הדגמת התנהגות אוטומציה אלא רק התנהגות דינמיקת מטוס - חבל - לאוטומציה ופרוצדורת המראה חיכיתי כל הסרטון), אבל הוא התעכב 30 שניות על להסביר למה התוכנה במחשב (AIRAC בשפת הסימולטור) מעודכנת כמו שצריך ושאנחנו בטווח תאריכים שמצויין לה, עוד חצי דקה על למה ISA DEV בסדר או לא בסדר ואם זה מבוסס על C או F...

בסוף הוא המריא ככה סתם, בלי כלום, במקום להראות לנו איך המטוס עובד, הוא הראה לנו שהמטוס יציב ושהוא (הבחור, לא המטוס) טס די בסדר ידנית...

כשכבר היה באוויר - דקות ארוכות של הסבר על פניה מתואמת, הכנסת רגל, ומה עושה ה-YD - אחרי שסיים להסביר על זה, הוא סוף סוף הראה איזה יופי שה-YD מסומלץ יפה, עם האינדיקטור שלו, ומה קורה כשמכבים מע' הידראולית B, ומה קורה כש-YD כבוי, ואיך הוא מגיב עם ובלי YD מחובר... אכן מסומלץ יפה, אבל רבאק - תראה לנו וזהו. העיקר שהוא אומר בכל רגע אפשרי שזה לא מדריך לטייפ רייטינג על 737 אלא רק להראות איך המטוס עובד.

המטוס נראה מדהים. בהחלט קונה אותו, עוד ימים ספורים ליציאה.
