  2. WoW; thats amaizing finally 64bit light at the end of the tunnel for FSX/P3D
  3. working on Eilat City mesh correction/flattening for GDEMv2 This is GDEMv2 with Photoreal and default plain vanilla FSX no mesh corrections what so ever airport elevation 14.1m (in these you can see GDEMv2 with LLET+ LLET's scenery elevation fix (AFX_LLET_ALT.bgl with my GDEMv2 elevation and flattening correction airport elevation 6.2
  4. Eurocopter's ability to integrate unmanned flight capabilities into its helicopter family has been validated by an optionally piloted vehicle (OPV) demonstration program, which used an EC145 to fly routes that included deployment of an external sling load and a representative observation mission. Video Here Conducted at the French Air Force base in Istres, France, this program was revealed today with an unmanned demonstration, which followed similar flights performed earlier in April. With this capability fully validated, Eurocopter is now positioned to pursue OPV flight capabilities for its product line of light, medium and heavy-lift helicopters - enabling these rotorcraft to be flown by pilots or in an unmanned mode. "Eurocopter innovation is once again expanding the mission capabilities of helicopters, and we are ready to apply the proven optionally piloted vehicle competence in meeting customers' needs," explained Eurocopter Chief Technical Officer Jean-Brice Dumont. "This latest achievement results from our company's expertise in flight control and autopilot systems, human-machine interface, system architecture and integration." Today's unmanned demonstration - along with the previous flights- used a four-dimensional flight plan that was uploaded to the helicopter, with its starting and completion points situated on the Istres Air Force Base's Runway 15/33. After an automatic takeoff, the EC145 flew the circuit via multiple pre-programmed waypoints, during which the helicopter performed a mid-route hover to deploy a load from the external sling. The EC145 continued on a return route segment representing a typical observation mission, followed by an automatic landing. For delivery of the external load, the helicopter entered a planned hover - enabling the ground station controller to provide flight control inputs in orienting the EC145 over the drop point. The ground controller then transmitted a command to release load once the helicopter and load were correctly positioned. The OPV flight capability was developed in an internally-funded Eurocopter program, and was coordinated by a team at the company's Donauwörth, Germany facility. Initial tests with a monitoring pilot aboard the EC145 were flown from Donauwörth and then at Istres. The EC145 demonstrator is a Eurocopter testbed helicopter with an enhanced dual-duplex four-axis automatic flight control system (AFCS) and the latest navigation systems. In addition, the helicopter is fitted with the "plug-in" OPV avionics rack in its cabin behind the pilot seats, which contains the data link subsystems. Visibility during the EC145's unmanned flights was provided to the ground station via onboard cameras. They were complemented by an external gimbaled camera on the helicopter for infrared and daylight mission imaging. Eurocopter's OPV system was configured to enable uploading of the four-dimensional flight plans to the helicopter via data link from the ground station. The system included an automatic hover-to-land capability in case of major system degradation.
  5. we are all in agreement that restrictions should be in place for internal resources IMO and without beating around the bush There should be a bit more dignified way Moshe and such VIP personnel Could obtain classified resources without being put to through the ringer i have suggested and i believe it's in motion behind the scenes a private section viewable to registered members only Combined with time and posts restrictions so new members cannot register just to grab resources they must be registered for at least a month have three likes, and post min 30 posts Before the section becomes available to them then you can add another level; a manual admin intervention to be added to the private resource group devs can post their final work in there safely etc
  6. saw this as of yesterday i figured with less than 24h; its too late to offer you iVFR ill be more than happy to set you up for round two cant wait to see the video
  7. both you hawks pls take a deep breath this isn't the thread or the place for that discussion stay on thread topic pls now for the repaints..., im just joking
  8. i believe you're missing something there no one is pointing fingers at anyonne and no developer is being persecuted Moshe was asking for some VIAF repaints VIAF rep's were cooperative and communicated in a professional manner and explained their position it was later gently suggested that is who'd be nice if there was a way VIAF could share internal resources with curtain VIP / Donators IMO a three months online course just to get accepted to VIAF is not a walk in the park no one is being rightist here !some of us have kids, a carrier, and wife's for myself and few other on board; you can add PST to the complexity
  9. is this an open or a military one i can ask a relative to check ?what kind of info do you need from there
  10. i honestly don't think it was malicious or directed at anyone in particular the guys currently in seat really don't have anything to do with the policies they do have the ability to tweak/change them i think that was the idea shine a light on the issue hoping it will be reconsidered the need to preserve copyright goes without saying sadly its a harsh reality we live in where few individual destroy it for the rest of us
  11. !but it is Moshe's request we are discussing here we all seem to be in agreement here that curtain individuals should be allowed "in"; not through normal channels the problem are policies put in place preventing this i understand the current management didn't put all these in place and basically have to live with it no one is attacking anyone we all respect VIAF's authority it was merely gently advised/suggested !remember, we are all here supporting VIAF not IVAO
  12. you need a butterfly to tell you that
  13. exploring and making mistake's is integral part of life as we learn, improve and progress staying stagnant is the enemy ?again, why cant this be put to a vote
  14. !i have used both Xplane10 and P3D, they are a worlds apart i have also experienced significant performance drop in P3D compared to FSX i believe i know why this has happened yes the tweaks and settings are exactly the same but with some improvements in P3D here's where i went wrong once i grasped the two are the same !i immediately went in to the setting section and moved all sliders to where they are in FSX all the way to the right THAT'S WRONG that's what caused performance diff compared to FSX P3D settings although look very much like FSX they are enhanced settings; fit for today's performance for example: Max LOD radius (first slider) in FSX is 4.5 mile in P3D the full slider pulls a 7 mile radius, almost twice FSX's radius making this tiny change will obviously take a huge toll with the same hardware there's no magic with newer sim's, just the ability to do more as it stand; today's hardware just getting close to max out FSX performance let alone P3D's updated core you can still get a legal FSX copy today under $20 light years away from P3D's $199 equivalent full lic costs
  15. well put Etai behind you %100 i think some policy should be reexamined to improve the system i was under the impression that Vatil is the center of the universe when it come to IL virtual airspace i think the VIAF should be a division of Vatil as important as the IAF to Israel but not a separate entity with a different goal repaints are not an incentive to join VIAF !skill tactics and expertise are Vatil should also change some policy to reflect its authority the way Israel Gov is to IAF i cant stress how important positive PR is as it stands; i needed about 30 sec to understand its not for me atm in the real world, there is no heavies flying Israel sky's all heavy traffic goes out; light aircraft are extremely limited to low level flying in very confined areas to sum it up, its IAF that represents Israel's sky we are all here because we have something in common supporting serving in the IAF etc no one is here because Israel's sky are such a hoot to fly in, its the IAF the right to be proud is denied from the majority because they cant comply with some old regulation or what ever it is today's IAF goes out if its way to accommodate everyone with their strength and weakness in its line's Flex ability" is the name of the game today" especially when it comes to military's ?why cant this be put to a vote
  16. as expected, since this mesh is more accurate some airports may need to be adjusted i haven't run into this one yet, ill take a look with what i have here ?how bad is it, can you post an image which LLZ are you running i believe a new LLHZ should be available shortly Bar Rodoy is working on somthing
  17. i actually own a P3D lic now thanks to a dude named Michael Avni i liked P3D so much, from the first minute i loaded it it felt like home, just an upgraded one i was having a texture problem with particular scenery, which once loaded to P3D disappeared i wanted to isolate the issue and started by testing if it had something to do with the base scenery by swapping the two
  18. TY Niv i meant VIAF homepage/registration
  19. ...ty Niv, it does; i think !?Vatil and VIAF are two entities with different goals merged in one site this explain few things, i couldn't figure out
  20. TY for explaining that Niv ?is VIAF its own entity with its own website and resources
  21. ?isn't that what Vatil is we can always enjoy a chat regardless, im available on Skype
  22. im not attacking anyone Niv reread my response pls, my tone is sarcastic not angry i believe the cobra repaint with the snake is the only acceptable repaint i will use atm
  23. im confused, i thought we are all contributing to the same force as for why with IAF repaints, i fly at hover control !i fly only heli's, and I'd like to represent ive downloaded few IAF repaints for Heli's !they are... how do i put it gently; horrible some guy mirrored the Hebrew letters to the other side of the heli then reversed them; on one repaint for example he also left some blood splatters all over, cause he thought its cool the only reason i don't fly Vayil's virtual airspace is because i don't think i can keep up with Hebrew ATC atm
