  1. The shift + E option was blocked on purpose on this aircraft to allow the simulation of the pressurization system. The doors can be opened by using hidden clickspots on the door annunciator lights. You can access them by either shift +9 or on the engineers overhead panel. Just click the annunciator and the corresponding door (front, rear, front cargo or rear cargo) should open. The flight decks right window can be opened with a clickspot on the main panel. Those functions can't be assigned on the joystick. You need to DISABLE it when using the TU154 (control + k) and make the assigments using the utility as described in the manual. (you'll just need to do it once, of course)
  2. Just several features: Some of the systems include: -Electric - circuits and transformers/ emergency transformers are modelled. Consumers show relative load and overload with insufficient power (single Gen or APU only) is possible. emergency transformers for the 3 main voltages are switched automatically or can be activated manually. -Hydraulic - all the hydraulic systems are modelled separately, i.e a loss of pressure in one hydraulic system will effect only the systems it feeds. Emergency pressure through wind-milling is also modelled. -Fuel - Automatic and manual fuel management and transfer is available, Fuel distribution will effect aircraft performance. A fuel calculator which provides correct initial distribution is incorporated in the load manager (it just gives you the figures, you'll need to load it up accordingly in FS). -Pressurization and air conditioning - modelled in great detail. "hot" and "cold" ducts, overheat, emergency backup and de pressurization warnings and alarms are available. Incorrect handling will carry consequences! -TCAS - Weather and ground radar - Navigation : two principle navigation systems a) KLN90B GPS with most principle pages and modes which follow the original Bandix/King manual, including "legs" mode and OBS (pseudo VOR). NVU - an authentic Doppler based navigation system. Can be operated manually or automatically using a "virtual navigator" utility incorporated into the model. an external calculator and virtual navigator export program is available with the download. Dynamics "On the numbers" dynamics. A LOT of which is modelled OUTSIDE MSFS flight dynamics engine which allow features like a separate stabilizer, elevator and elevator trim; variable nose wheel steering angle etc. temperature dependent engine performance and braking action that vary according to surface condition( ice, snow water etc.) are simulated as well. For this, inputs are read directly from the drivers through a special utility and require the joystick to be DISABLED in the sim (ctrl + k). External model: lots of animations on the external model as well as in the VC. The VC includes 3D gauges made in "smooth" technology a-la "RealAir". All the gauges and switches are also available and clickable inside the VC. Due to a small error, the engineers panel is not yet incorporated into the VC. This will be corrected in the next patch. Sound: Accurate and realistic sounds including various flight deck ambiance sounds and noises (e.g, transformers buzz or the pressurization systems airflow). An extensive set of callouts and dialogues come with the model (FO, ground, FA, FE and navigator). The sets are customisable and made up of almost 200 wav files including an automatic, interactive checklist model (the checklist will stop and "let you know" if an item has not been performed). sound sets can be assigned separately to various repaints. A Czech/Slovak sound set + panel will be available by tomorrow or friday (especially for Opher - knowing how much he loves soviet aircraft ). An English and German sound sets will also be available shortly. Repaints: The beta had ~ 60 different liveries available. They will require a small modification to adjust to the release version. Some were already modified, others will hopefully be done shortly. The release version has the "Siberia airlines S7" err..there are PLENTY more unique features which I can't get into since a) I'm writing this off the top of my head you'll need to know the aircraft for it to have any meaning... Suffice to say, that this model was made with an attempt to make "As real as it gets" something more than an empty slogan. Many of the MSFS short cuts and "dumbed down" features were blocked ON PURPOSE (e.g hitting "B" will do nothing...). I hope the information available in the 260 pages of the english manual will be good enough to guide through the operation of this plane. If there are any questions or queries, then of course I'll be available to answer. To download: the package (95 MB) http://www.pro-team.co.uk/files/product ... _setup.exe Mirror site http://ptfs.ru/pt_tu154m_setup.exe and a bmp that was left out  (overwrite the older version in the "texture" folder) http://www.pro-team.co.uk/files/product ... lass_T.zip
  3. תודה לאו. גם אני, כמו מיקי מורי ורבי ל-737NG, ממתין שירד ל-PMDG האסימון והם ישחררו כבר את דגם ה- FSX. כשזה יקרה גם אני אתחיל להיזכר בכל החומר, מטוס מדהים, בהצלחה עם הנסיונות להדביק אותו לפרופיל ההנמכה של ה- VNAV  There are two different teams for the MD11 and the rest of whatever they are doing. The MD11 started as a freeware project in the haydays of FS2002.....
  4. Some time ago an AI package for military traffic was released. Now there are afcad files adjusted to the LLBG LLSD addon scenery that go with it. They basically add the military aprons to both airports. Look it up under Rysiek Winawer on Avsim
  5. and if you wish to have both addons for VHHX and VHHH, that's the way to go about it: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az= ... ype=search
  6. be careful there! Did you ever try to navigate using the clock in fs?
  7. I thought this was payware...
  9. You can use the F1 module for FS9 if you wish to utilise the mouse for this purpose
  10. This one will most likely be a whole different ball game, at least according to the not-so-subtle hints the MS development team had been scattering around
  11. Indeed, PSS is no more for a couple of weeks now. a week or so prior to that I have seen numerous threads encouraging people to back up their files. All in all its a pity really, as it doesn't leave too many developers out there. PMDG, dreamfleet and feelthere. as well as some one trick ponies. With a slowly dying freeware market, the future doesn't look too bright. I believe FSX has a lot to do with it.
  12. No one can force anyone to learn anything if they don't want to but you can't be too good if you're missing the overall picture. The same applies to medicine - the body is not made up of independent sets of organs Pregnancy, for example can be associated with very high blood pressure states, diabetes and other hormonal dysfunctions etc. So an understanding of the entire picture is mandatory. Again, if you take medicine as an example then the graduate is expected to be proficient in internal medicine (of which cardiology is one chapter), surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and psychiatry. The resident and specialist will further expend their knowledge and experience in their field of choice. In the army, by the way, there's just as good a chance that your doctors' speciality is indeed gynaecology.....
  13. Who would normally enter the IRS data? left or right side? Or is it both depending on something else?
  14. Believe it or not a Gynaecologist have learned cardiology principles at one point or another - and vice versa. Understanding what's going on is no less important than knowing which buttons to push.
  15. It's the price you have to pay for photoreal coverage + seasons + custom night textures. A very impressive scenery, btw
  16. apropos, a much talked about scenery for that airport had just come out, run a search on Avsim for 9Dragons. yeah, and a "warm weekend" is certainly not something I'm going to have for the next couple of months .... Best regards from the fridge... P.S A promo video for this top quality scenery http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdeoFsDvaI0
  17. Opher, Indoctrination works both ways you know, nobody's immune I tend to put more trust in peoples intelligence and integrity though - that's my culture...
  18. Yes, I can see your point... I'll try to pose that question on the PT forum, It might be interesting to also get the input or perspective of the pilots there, provided any of them had actually flown an aircraft with a similar horizon. You don't have to adjust anything when you have enough power. On the TU154 the APU ALONE or a single generator can't provide enough if ALL electricity consuming systems are switched on. There should be no problem nor any adjustments to be made if the correct operation procedures are followed. If not - you might overload the system unless you have two or more generators online. From that point on the electric power distribution is indeed automated. Bruchi - I wonder if that's also the case on the real 727? I recall the procedures require you to switch the electric hydraulic pumps on and off during preparation - do you remember the reason? Also, does hydraulic pressure make a difference on the 727s controllability? It's simulated on the 154, I don't remember how it goes on the DF727...it's been a while..
  19. A short search in Avsim will yield for example a set (freeware) of replacement textures for FSX by a fella named Aime Leclercq. Here's one of his screenshots I picked randomly: http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?L ... eID=187174 It's obviously region-specific, there's no other way to do it.
  20. Err...We try to keep it authentic , so there will be no panel version with labels in English. At least not an official one. If someone decides one day to make such a panel, then no one would stop him of course but it won't be part of any official release. Having said that, the release will have a Czech panel where the letters used are Latin, not cyrillic so its readable even if you are not familiar with cyrillics. Thake this shot for example: If I asked you to show me the Pitot heat switch or the anti-ice on the 727, would you look for the label? I think its quite easy to deduct that the annunciation "VOR" is for vor track mode, Stab H, V and M are for altitude, speed and mach hold. GLIS stands for GLIdeSlope track etc. The rest are also quite easy if you read the manual and many of the switches and gauges are self explanatory to anyone with some experience with aircraft of that type. The English manual is 250 pages long... One of the reasons is the large number of pictures and screenshots for the various switches and instruments. We understand the language problem so the idea is to try and get the user to associate the visual of a switch/gauge with its function even if they can't read or understand the word behind the label. There are forums in 5 different languages beside russian hosting users from all over the world, mostly from western Europe and North America. very few if any of the users can speak a single word of Russian so I believe the language issue is a non-factor really if you're prepared to study the plane - Just ask Oren Geva . I would make it clear - The number, scope and depth of the systems that are modelled make for a VERY STEEP learning curve. For anyone that's looking for a "set and forget" type of plane or a "Taxi simulator" of sorts - This is not the right addon! On the other hand, nothing about it is rocket science either...It needs some time and dedication to study but I hope the result would be more than satisfactory. In addition, there's always a VERY FRIENDLY forum if you still feel stuck. If you like the 727 there's no reason you won't enjoy the 154 as well. In my (biased) opinion it equals and surpasses the (outstanding) DF727 in just about every category. Since we're dealing with simulation and not which aircraft would be best for our private airline, the following statement is completely irrelevant in that context - I believe you'll agree. Whether or not the real 727, 154 or comet is good or bad, is a totally different issue altogether. However: Two of the PT team members are active pilots. Denis, the guy who made the external model is a 737 captain, the other is currently a captain and an instructor on the A320. Both frequently echo your statement regarding the real plane. They often note its bad ergonomic design and its tendency to be very "unforgiving" in comparison to the Boeing and Airbus. They also mention though, that its extremely reliable and very rarely suffers from malfunctions - even minor ones. it's 50/50. Many have the standard horizon and just as many have the "bird" as you can see here on the IL-62: What I don't understand, is why do you see it as problematic? It looks very intuitive to me...as the plane banks left so does the bird - and vica-versa. Somehow I find it even less confusing than the horizon as it accurately depicts your position in space relative to the horizon and not the horizons position relative to you.
