My entire library probably doesn't weigh half of that For the 5-6 flights (max) a year I make to AMS, downloading and burning 7 DVDs through torrents...is way too much.... Yes, its the pilots responsibility (just as you'd move about the yoke to check the control surfaces). A pilot would do it for each and every flight as a part of the cockpit preparation, and they appear in the Ops checklist (if it doesn't come with the docs and you're interested - PM me) The test would turn out fine as long as you don't have any failures primed, of course. Just a small correction, you don't check the "black box", you actually activate it (you have the exact procedure in the tutorial) . at the end of your flight you'll get a text file with all sorts of data about your flight *edit* I see Etai had beaten me to it

Ah, the end result was that the priority order in the scenery.cfg got entirely .mixed up It's been a while ago, so I can't recall exactly what I did but I *think* it had something to do with the "scan and add automatically" option

למה ? Because it can mess things up. It did it to me several times , after which it was removed. It might very well be , that it was my fault and ignorance on how to operate it but the fact that its not "idiot proof" might warrant some caution in using it

עוד 2 איזכורים למטוסים בסגנון, למרות שהם קצת פחות "מיינסטרימים" 1) הקונקורד של SSTSIM - מאד מזכיר את RFP עם טאצ' יותר עדכני. ממש בימים אלו יצא פאטץ' שמשלב את ה INS 1.5. מערכת דלק מאד מעניינת (קיזוז נעשה ע"י הזזת דלק בין המיכלים) ומידול מאד מפורט של רוב המערכות. החסרון - באופי המטוס. מעיוון שזה קונקורד, זה מחייב סוג טיסות מאד מסויים. 2) טופולב 154B\M - ההשוואה ל727 די מתבקשת , מבחינת מידול מערכות שווה או עולה על ה 72. הדינמיקה באותה רמה (עבודה נפלאה ב 727 של רון פרימוט המנוח). מערכות הניווט ברמה גבוהה יותר (INS סובייטי - כמעט זהה למערבי, KLN90B)GPS( או NVU מערכת ניווט מבוססת דופלר) ה M לכשיצא (כרגע קיימת ה בטא) יכלול פאנל מהנדס חדש לגמרי (בעצם האיטם היחידי שנשאר לססיים לפני השחרור) ביטמפים חדשים (שונים מהבטא) וכל מני צצקעס כמו תאורה משתנה וכו' החסרון - עקומת למידה חדה יחסית ופאנלים ברוסית מה שמצריך ללמוד קצת מה כל מתג (מכל מקום, פיזיקה גרעינית זה לא ,המון משתמשים מאירופה\אמריקה השתלטו טוב מאד) נ.נ בMD יש FMC ו GLASS כך שהוא לא לגמרי בקטגוריה הזו - יותר באמצע בין אוטומציה מלאה סטייל 744 ו steam gauge cockpits כמו הנ"ל נ.נ.ב - רן, ממתי העדכון האחרון של VIP?? פספסתי משהו?

וסימולטור טיסה במחשב זה לא משחק ?? בטח משחק!! ואני אהיה הראשון להודות בזה. ועדיין יש הבדל בין משחק לצעצוע שמע אני לא הולך על הדקויות שבמשפט FSP גם לא צעצוע..וגם הסימ לא צעצוע שניהם משחקי מחשב תראה, זה בדיוק מה שרן אמר. זה צועק,יורה טילים, מוחא כפיים ואם ממש תרצה זה גם ידע לנגן "ירושלים של זהב" אחרי הנחיתה - אבל לא הרבה יותר. מוסיף איזה אלמנט משעשע? כנראה. בטח ובטח לא משהו יותר מדי רציני (לא שזה רע, לי פשוט זה לא ממש עושה את זה) - זה בעצם מה שרציתי להגיד ב "צעצוע".

I beg to differ For one, fspax comes with a "loader" of sorts. It might work well for generic airplanes. For more serious models with proper dynamics I'd suggest to disable that feature. The designers of such addons usually include a specific pax/cargo or fuel loader and do so for a reason! Personally , I get no pleasure in serving food, playing with seatbelt signs or collecting virtual urine for adrenaline level analysis... I bought FSpax when it just came out but it went off my hard drive almost as quickly as it came on. From my point of view its no more than a toy, but to each their own...

Good news for those using FSX and have the ATR from F1, there's a free compatibility patch that had just been released. Not so relevant for me personally , as I only use FSX with Tileproxy (my only way of getting any decent performance), but others might enjoy it. From a very quick glance, it seems there are mixed reports as to the ATRs performance in FSX

That's strange. The loader won't allow you to go out of boundaries, unless you exceed the allowed weight. If I remember correctly, you can go with CoG only as far as -1% on that model (the loaders presets just won't let you have it any other way) For this a trim of 10-11 should be enough to keep you stable for any speed >1.3Vs The automatic range is up to 12 and manual is max 14 , if my memory serves me right, so I can't see how you could have run out of trim...strange...

What I'm missing in the current docs are the scans from the real ops manual. They are a bit different than the ones suggested - nothing major , but I prefer to follow them as they seem to be right on the money, if adhered to. For some reason "Leonardo"s team had omitted the scans on the 2006 edition. If you're interested, let me know - I'm sure I have the original files saved somewhere.
