1) אם הוא יכול להזמין עוד 2, אז זה 172. 172 יותר גדול ויש לו יותר כוח מה152... ה152 יותר זול להשכיר... 2)בתור טיס (לא לפלצנות אלה כדי להדגיש) לדעתי, הם יותר בטוחים מהמטוסי נוסעים. (פחות מערכות שיכולות להיכשל), בתכלס אני מרגיש יותר בטוח באוויר עם ססנה מאשר על האיילון באוטו.

Thats right.... I checked, but didnt see anything.... BTW, the idea for Pan Am VA to sponsor EDDF was the Idea of our Frankfurt Hub Manager, Daniel Vinz, and the Donations are from all of Pan AM VAs staff, not just me....

I wasnt going to post, I was waiting to see if any of the Staff here would.. but they didnt... Tomorow, the 16th of december, ALL day long, a HUGE event will take place. This Event is called WE FLY FOR KIDS. The event is to raise money for two orginizations, UNICEF and TOYS FOR TOTS (who buy toys for children with different Illnesses.) How it works... You DONT need to pay money in order to help donate money! how? Certain airports are going to be sponsored. For example, Pan Am VA will be sponsering Frankfurt, EDDF. that means that for every time a planes lands at EDDF, Pan Am VA will donate a certain amount of money. At the moment, for every landing at EDDF, Pan AM VA will donate 0.5$. So all you have to do is fly into one of these sponsored airports and money will be donated. ANOTHER way to donate, if you actually want to donate from your own pocket... you can buy "tickets" on your flight... Donations start at 0.10 Euro and up... I dont understand it.. This is pure contradiction for the sake of argument. Pan Am VA, American Virtual, Delta VA and others have Active forums. Our members are in the know... But guess what... Surprise Surprise people... the VATSIM forum has a VA forum as well... Well isnt that Strange? I wonder what they were thinking... Perhaps they were thinking that VAs are part of the Online community and instead of isolating them and closing the door in the face of a wonderful part of the community, they actually embraced it with open arms... I guess its to hard to understand. I can assure you that a VA forum here will ONLY improve the experiance for both pilots and controllers. the VA forum is not a tool for VAs to diuscuss internal issues. Its a place where New pilots, old Pilots can go to see whats new, who is offering what, in one simple location. Its a place for VAs to invite the rest of the Community to join in their fun. Quite frankly, I dont see why VATIL has a Home Cockpit forum... VATSIM doesnt have one... Home Cockpits have their own websites and own communities, so why do we have one here? And I am quite sure that you would have a hard time finding other ARTCCs that do. We have it becasue people in our community have an interest in Home cockpits. And while we are on the subject, why does VATIL have a IFS forum? I Dont know of any other forum that has a WHOLE section dedicated to ONE VA (and IFS is a VA, its just a VA of studies) There is a mindset here amoung certain people that unless THEY personally benifit from it, its not worth it. Its about time that they open their eyes and realize that this is a community. And its always better to help fellow members of the community than to just say "no, it has no use". I was a member of EL AL VA before opening Pan Am and I am also a member of AIT.. I was Even a member of IAL before it closed... The reasons that ELALVA had troubles will NOT be solved with a VA forum. The reasons that AIT slowed down, will not be solved by a VA forum... But a VA forum WILL provide an outlet for the Staff of the VAs to see what the general public wants to have. And THAT will benifit us all. I admire the VATIL staffs descision to add the VA forum and thank them for their open mindness, in the end of the day, its the right thing to do. Publicity. Community. VA's are an intregal part of the ARTCC world. New Yorks Forums has a VA forumAND a whole webpage for their VAs, Miami has a whole webpage dedicated to their VAs ^^^^^ Exactly^^^^^^^

The "VA Forum" is a great Idea but that wont change things overnight. Speaking now as the CEO of a fairly succesful VA (www.panamva.com) I have tried in the past many ideas in order to boost pilot activity. One of the biggest problems within the Israel VA mindset is the constant strive for proffesionalism and realisim. There is nothing wrong with proffesionalism and realisem. The problem begins when Proffesionalism and realism start to replace FUN and enjoyment. I have noticed that the mindset within VATIL (not EVERYONE but definitly ALOT) is that proffesionalism is the way to go, and in doing so people forget that this is a GAME that is supposed to be enjoyed. People enjoy flying online under the ELAL callsign... why should they be denied by an entry exam? (especially one of the difficulty level that ELALVA had) I remember personally being looked down at becasue I flew freeware planes. Freeware and "GPS" navigation is no reason to turn a pilot away from a VA. As long as the VAs pilots get to where they plan to go and dont break the rules of VATSIM, it should be acceptable for the VA The VAs within VATIL should include their pilots within their decisions... Pilots dont join a VA so that the staff can tell them what to do. They join a VA so that they can be part of somthing. So MAKE sure that they are. Pan Am VA is one of the only VAs on the net that are truly FOR the pilots. I am the owner of the VA. I am the CEO... In the end of the day, I have the "power" to either approve or deny things. Pan AM VA has certain aircraft in its fleet that I was against adding (Like the Concorde and the ERJ 145) BUT the pilots wanted it, so I let them have it. Realize that VA is not a dictatorship, its a cooperation between the staff and the pilots and the staff should provide what the Pilots are asking for. Understand that a VA is NOT just a fancy website and a ACARs system or Dispatch system.. its Community. The community will be molded around the Staff. Make sure that the staff are freindly, outgoing people who will be willing to START conversations with pilots on the forums. make sure that your Staff becomes the role model for your pilots to follow. Bottom line, a STRONG freindly staff will produce a strong and freindly VA. When I was talking about opening Arkia VA a few months ago, ALOT of people contacted me privately and spoke of exactly what I mentioned above. There is a great number of pilots here who are sick of having "proffesionalism" shoved at them. all they want is to have fun and enjoy flying online.

It was alot of fun. It was my first TFc flight and the arrival to KORD was so freaky!!! Two planes on final to 32L with hardly any seperation and I am coming into 32R, with 20-26kts crosswinds.. (it wasnt a very pretty landing :wink: ) Add to that a guy who is on final to a runway that intersects all three of us and a controller who didnt know we were coming and was trying make order from the chaos... AH.. what a flight!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
