\you have a little box in your Squack box screen. within that box it tells you which controllers are online and what frequencies they are.. it is your job as a pilot to know where you are and who you need to contact.

ALLL RIGGHT... TIME OUT boys.... :mrgreen: Eldar, Opher is a well seasoned Pilot. he has more info and experiance than all of us here put together... With that, Opher is known, here within VATIL and within Europe (he does EuroControl as well) for his strictness. Strictness is not a bad thing. Opher does a hell of a job. He does the best that he can and he follows the written rules. As a controller, when you follow the rules, you expect the pilot to follow as well. Like it or not, it is YOUR responsibility as the PILOT IN COMMNAD to initiate contact with the controller. Forget what you had in Hong Kong and the USA and wherever... In the end of the day, it is the Pilots responsibility to contact ATC.. Ask ANY one of the Washington DC guys who just got their Pilots lisence this year.. They cant enter a CLASS B airspace before THEY contact ATC, once they depart from an airport in Class B airspace (other than the primary airport) THEY, the Pilot must contact ATC as soon as possible. When you are at the D6 in your 747, when do you contact Ground control? do you contact him when you are ready for push back? or do you push back and taxi to the KILO and expect him to contact you first? Same thing.

Think like a Lawyer... Basically... if I make a website that carries the name of An Arline, that shows the planes of the airline... but is NOT the real airline.. I might be hurting the revenue of the real airline.. How? Somone goes looking for Arkia, he wants to buy a ticket to Larnanca. He find Virtual Arkia. He books a flight on the dispatch system. He is issued a flight number and a time of departure, even the gate where the plane departs from... But wait that was the fake arkia... he didnt really buy a ticket.. whats going on.. He didnt even pay... the customer gets frustrated, and he then decides to fly with israir because their site is "working"... It all depends on how you spin it. in that example, arkia lost a customer because they found my VA instead of theirs. thats why I offered Arkia free advertising space on the VA but they said no... their loss.

Here is a serious question... what is your guys opinion about a fictional VA for Israel? Yes, I mean a imaginary Airline that I would make up... Because I would be making it up, no permissions would be needed from anyone but myself... I would consider doing this only if there is a demand for it.. so be honest here, would you be interested? (it would be an airline very much like arkia :mrgreen: )

the domain that I was going to get for the VA was: www.aizva.org AIZ as in the ICAO callsign of Arkia Also, even if you Call it Varkia (virtual arkia) the moment you post a screenshot of one of their planes, you use a logo.. and that is Illegal.

Update Arkias representative just called me to let me know the the letter of permission is now in the hands of Arkias Commerce Department... I should have an answer she says within two weeks.. only problem is that I have Miluim.. I will keep you updated as i get new information :mrgreen:

thanks for all the support... like i said... i am not promising.. first i need to get passed the BIG problem facing all VAs.. getting permission from Arkia to use their logo... once i get that, then things can get rolling.

Thanks for the ATC Itzik!!! this was my first flight out of Israel with ATC in the last few months!!! (mostly becasue i havent flown to LLBG much in the last few months :mrgreen: )
