  6. If I am not mistaken this whole thing started because Roman wanted to clear up an issue he had because he would not clear an aircraft on his IFR flight plan because it listed an equipment code that was not valid for IFR flight.... what I am about to say is NOT about who is right and wrong. I am no expert, I am just a real world PPL studying for his IFR rating... (Accoding to my IFR theory material, an A means that the aircraft is equipped with DME and a Mode C Xpnder, for VOR/ LORAN etc there are other codes) I would like to remind Roman that this is a GAME and Simulation. And after reading all of this, I would be VERY hesitant to fly under your control for fear of being delayed for meaningless, pointless corrections of a flight plan that in NO WAY effect VATSIMs enviroment... we are not talking about somone who filed to fly to KJFK with a TALMI departure. we are talking about somthing that 90% of vatsim flyers know NOTHING about and does not require you as a DEL to deny a IFR flight plan. You have been answered here and on the VATSIM forums MANY times. its time to let this die.

Aerosim And even when I do fly freeware planes, (even the LDS) I fly the Sids and STARS myself to the best of my ability. I am not against automation. and I would not be able to fly alot of appraoches if i didnt have some help from the systems on board. my big issue is and alway will be the "evil" autoland feature but hey, thats me

  16. Thanks for the advice. So you guys think I should buy the FRP instead? ( I am looking for a plane to use on long haul transatlantic flights and that IS NOT glass cockpit)

  19. I dont think his planes are that good.. I have flown his L1011, Md11, 727, C337.. I didnt like them.....
  20. 1) Basic answer: the higher you are, the less dense the air is, the harder it is for the wings to generate lift, so you would require more flaps than normal or a higher take off speed/ landing speed 2) Heading the the direction the plane is facing, TRACK is the actual direction you are flying...
  21. Serveinfo is more practical for checking online information like pilots and ATC Vrotue shows booking and it also has one hell of a flight planning systen which will give you a route, charts, sceneries for places you will be flying to and over BUT its just uncomfortable to use when all you want is a global picture of who is online...
  22. Happy Pesach!!!
  23. No.. in GA you use however much Fuel is left from the flight before Unless you dont have enough in which case you need to be able to calculate your fuel burn rate in order to find out if you indeed have enough or if you need to refuel before departure or perhaps to plan a fuel stop on the way to your destination.
