It is most definitly part of the clearance ELY001, you are cleared to LLBG, fly the MERIT3 Departure, Putnam Transition then as filed, expect FL350 10(pronounced: one zero) minutes after departure, dep frequency is 135.9, Sqwauck 1501" That is the typical Clearance you would get from DEL at JFK when flying to LLBG Its important because you wont Always recieve "expect FL350 in ten".. You will get that 95% of the time, but depends on traffic flow and where you are going. For example, if you fly from JFK to Boston, and you file FL350, you wont get that, you will get: "Expect FL230 in ten" because thats the maximum allowable FL for that routing. -

Yes and no, let me explain. Since i started controlling at JFK I noticed that JFK is a Newbie magnet. In the presentation is state that the presentation assumes that YOU, the pilot have basic understanding of how to read charts. JFK has proceedures that are not common. One aspect are the climbs. Canarsie/ Breezy Point and Gateway. Literally i had somone ask me "who is canarsie and why is she climbing" Another thing that JFK has that is not common are specific SIDs for JUST transatlantic flights. These are the BETTE3, GREKI3, MERIT3, HAPIE3. Many times I will see a pilot filing the MERIT3 SID for a flight to boston because his first waypoint is MERIT. This is not correct, the correct SID to be issued is the JFK9. Another issue is the taxiing in JFK. 90% of pilots online do not know that Taxiway Alpha is clockwise and Taxiway Bravo is counterclockwise. Everything i just mentioned above is not written on the charts, nor are they self understandable. this presentation isnt really saying "Hey, go look at the charts!" it is meant to explain all the things that are NOT written on the charts in order to help the first time JFK flyer understand how JFK works. -

I made this because I wintessed alot of pilots on VATSIM who file wrong SIDs for certain flights, or are not sure who to fly the STARs correctly. Even dont know how to taxi at JFK. Hey, while I dont control in LLBG.. In about two weeks i should be certified for TWR at JFK... I am the ONLY NY controller who lives in the same time zone as you guys.. If ANY of you are planning to fly into NY, feel free to let me know and I will come online for your Landing/ departure in NY (that is of course if I am not at work :wink: ) I cant help the "lack" of control at LLBG (i dont think there is a lack at all) but i know how it feels to fly 12 hours and land with no ATC.. thats a real bummer!

I am sure that the same things were said about the 747 in its day.. give airbus time, I am sure that they will meet all the needed requirements. the future of their company relies on that.

Thats what I do... and it doesnt work.. I went into my Keyboard assignments and it all looks right, and if I press "SHIFT+5/6/7" I manage to open things... :?: האם FSUIPC מותקן אצל ? אם לא אז תתקון ואם מותקן תנסה ללחוץ רווח כי יש גירסאות FSUIPC שמראות הודעה ברקע וזה מפריע לסימולטור לפתו חלון. FSUIPC is installed and works just fine... I managed to get it workin and here is how: I opened up the CFG file, I swapped between the windows that I could Open (GPS and chcklist) and the ones that I couldnt... forexample.... the original FCG file has the Pedistal as "WINDOW02" (I think) I changed it to be WINDOW06 and it works.. I didnt solve the problem, but i worked around it. -

Hello Max.. I am not sure if its officialy ready for download yet.. but i was on the ISDT site and I downloaded the 777... VERY NICELY DONE!!! but I have one complaint and this also applies to the 737-800 panel and the A321.. I cant open the Pedestal or the overhaed... I can Open the GPS, Yoke and that lovely screen iwth the notes and checklist fine.. but i cant open the Pdestal or Overhead panels... the only way to do it is to press "ALT" go into the toolbar/ views/ instruments..... is this a known problem? I tried to fix it myself with Panel Editor but it just messes it up more.. any help on the matter? -

Two New Jersey couples were killed yesterday when the single-engine plane they were in broke apart and crashed in a wooded area in Ocean County, scattering small pieces of the craft on rooftops and in the yards in a small community of bungalows and narrowly missing a major highway, the authorities said. The plane's main wreckage was found just north of Route 72. A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said the plane, a Piper Dakota, took off from Old Bridge Airport in Middlesex County at 10:17 a.m. with four people on board. It was bound for Bader Field in Atlantic City but plummeted to the ground about 11:20 a.m. The spokesman, Jim Peters, said the cause of the crash was unclear. The Stafford Township police identified the victims as Ronald Ziv, 53, and Rachel Ziv, 40, of Basking Ridge, N.J., and David Nimrod, 48, and Karen Nimrod, 50, of Manalapan, N.J. The authorities said the plane was registered to Mr. Ziv, a licensed pilot. Neighbors said Mr. Ziv worked in the juice industry and that the couple divided their time between New Jersey and Israel. The Nimrods' son, David, said in a telephone interview last night that his mother was an occupational therapist and his father worked at a technology company. The two couples had been friends for years, said David, whose 13th birthday is today. Last night David was packing up his gerbil's supplies, he said, preparing to move with his 15-year-old brother, Michael, into his grandparents' house. "They didn't even tell me they were going on the trip," said David, who last saw his father Tuesday night and his mother yesterday morning. Pieces of the plane that had scattered yesterday morning were found in the subdivision just south of Route 72, an east-west highway that connects Long Beach Island to the mainland. But the police said they found most of the wreckage in a wooded and marshy area north of the highway. Joe Policastro, who was in his summer home in the subdivision in Beach Haven West, said he rushed from the bungalow after hearing a blast yesterday. "I couldn't tell what it was," Mr. Policastro said. "But then I saw a small piece of debris on the roof of the house across the street." Capt. Charles Schweigart of the Stafford Township police said his department had received up to a dozen calls from residents saying that something had exploded over their homes. When the police arrived at the site of the crash, they closed off part of Route 72 so that debris could be removed from the road. More than 50 police officers and firefighters made their way through a heavily wooded area just north of the roadway, where they found the main part of the wreckage and the bodies of three of those on board, Captain Schweigart said. He added that bulldozers and gravel would be brought in to cut and lay a path into the thick stands of pine, maple and elm to get to the wreckage. "It's been extremely crazy," he said. "We've never had anything like this before. We have manpower there, one lane of traffic shut down. It's really unusual. The only other thing that happened like this was an emergency landing on Route 72 eight years ago." Jeff LaMarco, who owns the house near Mr. Policastro's that was struck by a piece of debris, rushed to the crash site from his other home in Hazlet. He stood by the waterfront development as firefighters retrieved a three- to four-foot long piece of painted sheet metal. Mr. LaMarco said that the piece of debris, which a fireman easily carried away with one hand, had left about a six- to eight-inch gash in his roof. "It could have been worse," he said.
