  1. Ilan, since you asked: a partial list: 1) alt-tabbing will cause a malfunction of the IRS and the crew gauges. its not just the sounds that disappear as some people had mentioned - its actually the gauge that freezes. funny enough, if you press pause (P) the gauges will start working again - you could issue ground requests and the IRS will catch up on your co-ordinates.... unpause and those gauges stop working again. 2) speed and altittude restrictions will be busted! watch your vertical deviation....(prog manu, page 2) at some point flying at FL250 - alt hold mode, mine was +52 or 58 THOUSEND feet...... 3) at TOD the AP may push the trim violently all the way down, resulting in a nose-dive, I donno....it might be the result of bug # 2, I guess I need to test it more to give a credible answer 4) no landing/taxi light (ok, no biggie, but a bug yet) 5) the Stab Trim Lever, slowly moves away- all the way up from the pedestal panel and shows up from below- it scrolls in a loop by itself. Even with everything off, even with the sim paused, the graphic of the lever just scrolls as a loop, up - then shows up from the bottom and goes up, etc. 6( The fact that the aircraft can't hold the MCP commanded altitude on turns is a semi-bug, its not a clear mistake - after all the autopilot attempts to do what its supposed to - yet, its not being very successful in doing it, to say the least.... as you can see, none of this has anything to do with the actual OPERATION of the AC, I also find it hard to believe that they pop up only on my system.... to be fair, there had not been a single release that have not struggled with bugs on its version 1.0, but with all the credits of 767PIC and the hype orchestrated by Flight 1 (yes, even I had fallen into that trap....) I can't help feeling somewhat frustrated. The steeper the climb - the higher the fall I guess. Hopefully those issues will be resolved soon, as I'm sure they will and LDS767 will live up to its high potential, however, potential buyers should better be aware of possible issues. F1s decision in that respect, to lock the support forums for non-customers from READING them is a step in the wrong direction. why should information about issues related to the products be kept away....? ah as to your last question.... funny enough I used to be a radio ham.... a 4X4 rank actually, but that was long ago and I hardly do anything about that hobby these days, besides my prefix is no longer 4X, but rather CF... My handle ha5mvo, if that was the prompt to your question, has nothing to do with it, its just an arbitrary prefix to my first ever email account given to me by the University..... Funny you should ask thoug.... All the best, and a virtual friendly QSL, ///Michael
  2. a word of warning, before everybody rushes in..... the package is RIDDLED with bugs....too numerous to mention..... I don't know how long and how thoroughly they have beta-tested this product. If only they had put as much effort into testing as they did on hype it might have looked differently. I'm sure the future patches will correct most of it and it will be an excellent product, but as things stand now....its very frustrating..... //Michael
  3. still riddled with bugs though.... Hopefully those will be eliminated soon
  4. You're right Oren! the original PIC was right on the money when it came to altitude predictions and planning. the 737 on the other hand generates a very steep profile that almost always requires speed restrictions to be inpotted manualy - not always being able to comply with them. BTW - 'm not aware of any plans for updates in that respect - are there? //Michael
  5. If you followe Flight Ones releases you will notice that they are very good at publicity, almost every product they touch is associated with a hype of some sort, it had been the case since the piper Meridian if my memory serves me right.... and yes, it is a somewhat beefed-up patch for the old PIC, but one glance at the bitmaps could have confirmed that..... Still, if it will be as stable as the old PIC and will have the same robust logic - its fine with me. There is room for comparison with PMDGs 737 - both addons are of SIMILAR standards(I totaly disagree thart this one is a few classes higher). I'm interested to see if the 767 will have a better Vnav profile calculation (the 737 is a tad problematic in that respect), and on the other hand how the altitude hold and capture issue is going to be resolved //Michael
  6. Elad, Did you test the autopilot? Did you have any problems holding altitude with AP? any oscilations or unstable trim? altitude busted on climb descent or turns? //Michael
  7. these are old shots, the future )and present) of CSim is rather unclear so I can't foresee the release of this one in the near future Best //Michael
  8. eA, can you tell us what your specs are? and what kind of frames are you getting? what are your FS settings? with heavy scenery, dense traffic and all sliders at max, even the default cessna will "crawl" as yu put it //Michael
  9. why pay when you can get the excellent Stellan Hilmerby DC-9 as freeware....... right there: http://www.hilmerby.com/
  10. There's a handy link: http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/ Hit the word "GO" (in red) and if you have all the necessery plugins click the EAD icon...
  11. As real as it gets: http://www.hilmerby.com/download.html No fancy eye candy stuff- but outstanding FDE and great panel to simulate all the CORRECT procedures Made by a R/W DC9 captain //Michael
  12. Yes FlyTampa is one of the better scenery creators to data. Fimflyers are OK, surely at the time they were second to none. The thing is, that their sceneries can bring even a brnd new top notch comp. down to its knees. I prefer the approach taken by Aerosoft, namely, save all these polys (and framerates) by avoiding unnecessary details like streetsigns, people and objects inside buildings which noone gets to see anyway, etc. It is amazing how mininal is the frame rate with sceneries like -" German Airports" Sure you won't have all these small details - but your sim wouldn't stutter either! //Michael
  13. what do you mean by "see the file?
  14. Look for: bglx120.zip by Alessandro Antonini //Michael
  15. Hold your horses people. Let me save you the tuition fee..... This might be an exceptional product, BUT Wait a day or two, look in their forum....are the frames reasonable? are there any major bugs? you can always pay for it.... don't be tempted by the marketing hype. Trust me I have payed enough for this lesson, no need for others to do the same Again, I'm not saying the product is either good or bad, all I'm saying is don't rush to jump the bandwagon //Michael
  16. Either way, what's the point in keeping them both? //Michael
  17. Hi, I'm not so sure Yossi, I think this would miss the whole idea of a forum, wouldn't it? //Michael
  18. Also avai;able @ avsim //Michael
  19. na, I still think the guy didn't mean to make a" political statement" of any kind. I guess he knows about the arab-israeli conflict, as much as most of the participants on this forum would know about the UFF-RIRA conflict in Northern Ireland, or indeed, cares about it just as much I say, give the man a break all he's trying to do is provide a voulentry service for the community ///Michael
  20. That's great news Alex, your sceneries are top notch and I believe that this one is going to take it even a phase higher!!! You're right about the autogen though, it is a frame hog and my computer won't allow too dense a setting. I'm sure though that the guys with the higher-end rigs will get a tranformed Tel Aviv area!! Thank you for your efforts //Michael
  21. Sorry guys Like I said, I'm not such a big fan of the programs in which YOU have to push the button for the announcement to sound - so I don't have this subpanel installed. If you have Oleksy frolovs Dash 8 , then there's a customized panel that uses this flightdec gadget. Here: http://sidneyschwartz.homestead.com/hotspot.html //Michael
  22. Hey, let's put this thing to rest.... The guy obviously means well. Little did he know what he was getting into... Before we run to "save the homeland" let's not forget that at the end of the day it's all about a GAME. A computer game - no more. Just my tuppence. //Michael
  23. It could be my old weary eyes failing me yet again, but I didn't see any "Palestine" on this page.....
  24. TSA, It's quite simple really....go to avsims file library and use the extended search feature. You already have the file name ....so you should have no problems... I would have given the link but I don't know how... //Michael
